This is a great illustration on how taking productive actions can help you to meet your needs. The needs seen below in Malsows Hierarchy are universal across people. The lower the need on the pyramid, the higher its impact on the subsequent layer of needs. In other words, without meeting basic needs such as eating food and drinking water, how can one be healthy and perform well in life. The longer one spends having to find food and water, the less time one has to move onto higher level needs. As people progress through the levels of pyschological needs in trheir life, most hope to someday achieve self-actualization, or something like it. Some people achieve this and live veruy fullfilling lives. Classic examples would be Bill Gates or Tony Robins. Others struggle their whole lives trying to achieve this, only to never making it past the first couple levels
This model of thought applies to all areas of our lives, including work. If we look at the needs hierachy through a business lens, we come up with a very differnt pyramid. Basic needs might include IT infrastructure, capital to pay employees, grounds maintance, office presence. While some higher level needs might be worrking 100% "on" your business rather than "in" your business. Think about how this applies to you and if you'd like to talk more about it, lets grab coffee. I attached a blank pyramid, feel free to print and fill it out as it relates to your business.
Have a great afternoon!
